Hi Frustrated Blogger,
The content you create is great, yet no one’s reading it. Why?!?
It feels like you’re writing in an echo chamber.
It’s not that your writing sucks. You spend hours in front of a computer, tolling over what you write so that it's educational, entertaining, and accurate. You make sure it's interesting to read too! You hone your artistic craft like a woodworking artisan — chipping away at your copy to create your masterpiece.
So that's not the problem.
It’s because your content just isn’t showing up in Google. No one is finding what you write. It’s enough to make you throw your arms up in dismay and disgust.
Unfortunately, you’re not alone:
The famed science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke once wrote, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Sometimes I think he must have been referring to how Google search works.
If only it were as easy as throwing a sacrificial virgin into a volcano to please the Google gods.
Does that sound familiar?
Hi, I'm Larry Ludwig. Just like you, I started writing on my blog with zero traffic. In less than a few years, I had more than 3 million unique visitors per year, all from search engine traffic.
I became so successful I eventually was able to sell my blog in 2018 for $6 million.
After years of trial and error, I figured out how to build up traffic consistently. But, more importantly, I stayed ranked even after Google made frequent updates to its algorithm.
No virgins were sacrificed.
I wasn't gaming Google with black-hat SEO techniques, either. Instead, I used techniques that adhere to what Google wants to see in quality search content.
I understand how Google works, but now you can too.
With over 20 years of web development experience, I created a step-by-step course on writing content to rank in Google. All in an easy-to-understand, non-technical format.
As its name implies, my course SEO for Writers is geared toward writers, editors, and content creators.

Appetite for Investing
A recent survey by the website GrowthBadger determined up to 87% of all website traffic comes from organic search.
While all of the rage is about social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram or Pinterest, search is still the primary method people find content. If you aren’t found on Google, you are missing out on a large audience.
It’s akin to the philosophical statement about a tree falling in the woods and if it makes a sound. If you write great content and no one finds it, does it help anyone? It’s critical you understand how Google discovers content and make sure you can be found in Google.
This course doesn't require any more technical skills on online writer already possesses. The course assumes you use a WordPress based website and know rudimentary HTML. Fortunately, the course does not discuss installation of WordPress, plugins, or anything that's related to what's called technical SEO.
SEO for Writers is a course that focuses improving your content so it can be better found by the search engines. This is known as on-page SEO. Off-page SEO mostly consists of link building. The course does not discuss how to perform link-building since that's a skillset not typically required by a writer. Link building is typically a task done by an outside SEO firm or a specific person on the editorial team.
